No Application Deadline

All International applications are processed on a rolling basis. There is no application deadline. Fall semester begins in early September, Spring semester in mid-January.

Your application for admission and supporting credentials should be filed as early as possible to allow sufficient time to process your application, pay your SEVIS fee, apply for your visa, and arrange for transportation. The information and the documents you provide will be carefully examined.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements


To be considered for admission to the undergraduate degree program at Lakeland, an international applicant must submit:

  1. Official transcript of your high school studies and/or of college studies (all post secondary education).
  2. Minimum 500 on the Paper-Based TOEFL, 173 on the Computer-Based TOEFL, or 61 on the internet based TOEFL (iBT) is required. The test must have been taken within the previous two years. If your TOEFL score is below 500 or if you don't have a TOEFL score, you may apply for admission to the Lakeland College English Language Institute (ELI). Lakeland College's code is 1393. Acceptable IELTS, O Level, or A Level scores could replace the TOEFL requirement.
  3. A check or money order of U.S. $20.00 to pay for the mandatory application fee.
  4. International Student Certification of Finances: Your application must be accompanied by certification that sufficient funds will be available to meet both your living and tuition expenses while attending Lakeland College.
  5. Your most recent photo (37mm x 37mm).
  6. If you are currently in the U.S, please enclose (a) a copy of your passport and visa page(s), (b) a copy of your I-94 arrival and departure card (white), and (c) a copy of your current I-20 or DS-2019 if any.

Graduate Admission Requirements

akeland College offers 4 graduate degree programs:

  • MBA-Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Education
  • Master of Arts in Counseling
  • Master of Arts in Theology

To be considered for admission to a graduate degree program, an international applicant MUST submit:

  1. Official transcript from an accredited institution verifying completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree.
  2. A minimum 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL, 213 on the Computer-Based TOEFL, or 79 on the internet based TOEFL (IBT), is required of all graduate applicants who do not have a baccalaureate degree from an English speaking country. The test must have been taken within the previous two years. If your TOEFL score is below 550 or if you don't have a TOEFL score, you may apply for admission to the College’s English Language Institute (ELI). Lakeland College's TOEFL code is 1393. GRE is not required. IELTS score of 7 could replace TOEFL.
  3. Two recommendation letters, a current resume, and a written statement (limited to 250 words).
  4. 4. A check or money order for U.S. $35.00 to pay for the mandatory non-refundable application fee.
  5. Your application must be accompanied by certification that sufficient funds will be available to meet both your living expenses and tuition expenses while attending Lakeland College.
  6. GRE or GMAT is NOT required. However, if you are an MBA applicant and your undergraduate GPA is below 2.75, you must take the GMAT and obtain satisfactory scores. You may take up to three MBA courses before you are officially accepted to this degree program. To take the fourth course, you must obtain approval from the chair of the Business Department by providing GPA, successful completion of the foundation courses, if any, and a minimum 450 GMAT score.
  7. Your most recent photo (37mm x 37mm).
