Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Melissa Tetzlaff-Bemiller completed her doctorate in sociology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando this summer. She had been working as a teaching associate for UCF and an adjunct professor for Seminole State College of Florida.
The recipient of several certificates, honors and awards, Tetzlaff-Bemiller has research interests in homicide, sex crimes, cybercrime and media perceptions of crime and victims. She has presented her research several times at the American Society of Criminology Conference.
Tetzlaff-Bemiller holds a bachelor’s in criminal justice and a master’s in applied sociology from UCF, as well as National Behavioral Science Research Methods Certification from the FBI and a crime analysis graduate certificate from UCF.
