Well, take advantage of the opportunity this week to practice your interviewing skills with a representative from Menasha Corporation. Practice makes perfect and you'll have the benefit of insight and feedback from an employer in the field. Sessions will be every 20-30 minutes depending on interest.

- Show your patriotic spirit by wearing red, white & blue!

- Take time to share kind words of support by writing a simple note in the cards available in the commons. These cards will be sent to Veteran's hospitals.

- Bring in an item to be donated to various troops as appreciation and support. There will be a collection box located in the commons-a helpful list of items can be found at www.give2thetroops.org

Living Lakeland, an adult student support/networking group, will also have helpful printed resources on hand for you or someone you know that has a loved one in the service.

Therefore resources will be available this week in the commons to help prepare you for the Career Fair on the Fox and future career fairs...Anything from how to introduce yourself to employers, what to bring, how you should dress, using your time effectively, etc.

The Career Fair on the Fox takes place Thursday, October 1, 2009. This event is co-sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Fox Valley Technical College and runs from 1:30-5:30pm at the Kolf Sports Center located on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Campus. There will be over 80 different organizations, businesses and educational institutions present, for you to check on future employment, internship and educational opportunities. It is never too early to get your name out there and to start networking. Be sure to dress to impress and have many copies of your resume with you. There will be opportunities to hand out your resume, talk with professionals, and interview on site for jobs. The career fair is free.
