Lakeland College in Japan

Pursuant to the college's mission to prepare students for life in a diverse, global society, and to its intent to make the campus both a port of entry to the world for American students and a port of entry to American higher education for other students from around the world, Lakeland maintains an accredited branch campus in Tokyo, Japan. Located in central Tokyo, this branch campus offers Japanese students an intensive English language mastery program and an accredited Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree program. The branch also offers upper division courses in International Business.

American students from Lakeland and from other accredited colleges and universities in the United States may also study at Lakeland College in Japan as part of their undergraduate program. For more information, see the Study Abroad program site.For American students, the Tokyo branch campus provides homestay accommodations and the opportunity to study Japanese language and culture while continuing their undergraduate education.

Lakeland College is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Japan and operates its program in accordance with the 36 "Principles of Good Practice in Overseas International Programs for Non-U.S. Nationals." All classes are conducted in English by faculty whose credentials have earned them, or could earn them, full-time continuing appointments at the home campus in Sheboygan.

Foreign Study Semester in Germany

The college maintains an exchange program in Germany. All students with
knowledge of German, regardless of major, are eligible for the foreign study semester at Hessen Universitaet in Kassel, Germany.
