Science students present their research

Lakeland science students and faculty presented research on Nov. 3 at the 17th Annual Argonne Symposium for Undergraduates in Science, Engineering, and Mathematics in Argonne, Ill.

Jennifer Huang and Matthew Preimesberger presented the results of the research that they performed at Lakeland last summer through the Lakeland Undergraduate Research Experiences (LURE) Program. Huang gave an oral presentation entitled "Cellular Analysis of Tardigrades Using DAPI Visualization" and Preimesberger gave an oral presentation entitled "Probing the Aggregation Behavior of Beta Amyloid Derivatives via Carbon 13 Isotopically Enhanced ATR-FTIR." They were accompanied by Lakeland Professors Greg Smith and Jeffery Schwehm.
