U2 - Beautiful Day

It was great seeing a lot of you at our Open House this past Saturday.  We had over 150 visitors, and fortunately, the weather was great (as far as February goes).   

I had the opportunity to spend this past Saturday – Tuesday in Dallas, Texas at the First Year Experience & Students in Transition Conference.  It was a very intense four days and I learned a lot about helping our first year students be successful.  Lakeland has made a huge effort in making sure that our students are successful, and this conference will certainly serve as a catalyst in making that happen.  Oh, by the way, when we left Texas it was 77 degreesJ…upon arrival in Milwaukee …33L.

Everyone on campus has really settled into the semester.  It is hard to believe that the end of next week is March and spring break is right around the corner.  It is amazing to me just how quickly the school years fly by, and we are right back where we started…welcoming another class to campus!
