Guilty. And for the gap between this post and the last, I apologize.

However, there's no time to sit back and worry about lost time. Today's a special day in the history of this nation with regards to the inauguration of Barack Obama. Lakeland is going to be broadcasting the entire ceremony in our auditorium on the large screen. I plan on stopping by to catch part of the ceremony, as well as Obama's address.

The excitement is electrifying.

As much as I'd like to take the day off and spend it with friends, reflecting on this important time, there's work to do. :) Every year around this time, I begin to counsel my students and their families regarding the financial aid process. It's a pretty heady one, and can seem quite overwhelming to someone who's never been familiarized with the proper steps.

Maybe I'll be calling you soon to chat! If you're a senior, and have applied to Lakeland, you can bet on it.
