Students returning to classes for the fall semester should be aware of road construction on Highway 42 that is impacting traffic.
Anyone traveling north on Interstate 43 that exits at Highway 42 will need to take a short detour into Sheboygan to get to Lakeland.
Traffic exiting from northbound I-43 at Highway 42 will head east towards the city of Sheboygan and turn right onto County Highway J, then turn right onto Highway Y, which will get traffic onto west-bound Highway 42.
The detour is clearly marked.
The road construction, which is to accommodate the new Super Wal-Mart being built on Highway 42, is expected to continue into November.
