Non-Traditional Student Admission

Students who do not immediately attend college after graduating from high school are termed, "Non-Traditional Students." Non-traditional applicants who have graduated from high school within the past three years must submit ACT or SAT test scores and high school transcripts with their application. Non-traditional applicants who have been out of high school three years or more, and whose grade point average was 2.0 or greater are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores. The applications of non-traditional applicants whose grade point averages are less than 2.0 will be reviewed by an Admissions Committee, and additional materials may be required.

Application Checklist:

  1. Apply to Lakeland. Call our office to request a paper application, or complete it online.
  2. Contact your high school and request that your transcripts be sent to us. If your high school has a record of your ACT or SAT test scores, also request that they be sent to us.
  3. Apply for financial aid as soon as possible.
