New Federal Regulations End Lakeland College Gift Card Program

New U.S. Department of Education regulations prohibit the use of gift cards to thank people for referring prospects who become students in our program. As a result, Lakeland College must end its $100 gift card program.

Final gift cards will be awarded, subject to the terms and conditions of the Referral Incentive Program, for referrals received for students enrolling in the Summer 2011 semester.

We appreciate and encourage continuing referrals to our program. Unfortunately, after Summer 2011 semester enrollment, we will no longer be able to express our appreciation with a gift card.

Thanks to everyone who has participated in our gift card incentive program. We hope positive experiences at Lakeland College will prompt continuing referrals to our degree programs even without gift cards.
