Mary Piehl steps down as Director of Alumni Relations

Mary Piehl, a 1997 Lakeland graduate who joined the college's staff as Director of Alumni Relations shortly after her graduation, has resigned her position. Her final day will be Feb. 28.

Piehl has been instrumental in many successful events during her tenure - Homecoming, the Blasters golf tournament, the donor recognition events, the Wolyzen Gymnasium dedication and many more. She has helped re-united Lakeland with hundreds of lost alumni over the years, and strengthened the college's bond with graduates throughout the decades.

"My years at Lakeland College have been more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined," Piehl said. "Yes, I am leaving Lakeland, but only in regards to employment. I will always remain a loyal alumna."

Piehl plans to enjoy a little rest and relaxation with her family as she moves into the next phase of her professional career. Lakeland thanks her for her years of valued service to the college, and we look forward to seeing Mary at alumni functions for years to come!
