Lakeland College Student Athlete Advisory Committee

The Lakeland College Student Athlete Advisory Committee connects Lakeland College student-athletes, the athletic department and the college administration. Through service opportunities, sponsoring social and community events or supporting one another at each other’s competitions, SAAC works to strengthen the student-athlete community and utilizes athletics as a way to bring together the larger campus and neighboring communities. Lakeland College SAAC, along with the larger Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) SAAC, regularly provides input on NCAA rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives at various member institutions.

The Lakeland SAAC is comprised of at least two representatives from each of Lakeland’s varsity sports teams. The Lakeland SAAC meets monthly and representatives are required to take information back to their teams and promote the participation of their teammates in various events. SAAC members must commit to attending 75 percent of monthly meetings and take part in SAAC-sponsored events. Any student-athlete is welcome to attend the bi-monthly meetings.
