2006 Lake Michigan Conference
Baseball Tournament

Due to excessive rainfall at the site of this year's 2006 Lake Michigan Conference baseball tournament, all of the games scheduled for Friday have been postponed.

As a result of Friday's games being postponed, LMC by-laws state that the tournament will now be a single-elimination format with the opportunity to conclude the tournament on Sunday, May 14.

The NCAA requires that all automatic qualifiers for the 2006 NCAA Division III Baseball Championships be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sunday. However, due to weather-related circumstances, the LMC can and will apply for a waiver that would allow the league until midnight Sunday to submit its automatic qualifier for the national tournament. LMC by-laws also state that if the league tournament does not conclude by the NCAA deadline, then the LMC regular season champion receives the automatic bid.

Game 3 - The winner of Game 1 will face the winner of Game 2 for the LMC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Game time is 7:00 PM
