The Lakeland College Cheerleaders are part of the athletic program and our objective is to raise the level of support for our student-athletes at intercollegiate sporting events. We also help to keep the crowds attention focused on the field/floor where the athletic activity is taking place. Cheerleading at Lakeland College includes sideline cheers and dances, jumps, stunting at football and basketball games, as well as performances at pep rallies and other events.

Cheerleaders are highly visible at athletic and other community events and, therefore, must represent the college well by promoting school pride, school spirit and good sportsmanship. The Cheerleading squad is open to both men and women with tryouts occurring prior to football and basketball seasons.
