June 27-29, 2011 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This camp is for athletes who are just learning the skills necessary to participate in football in a competitive manner. It will focus on techniques and fundamentals for all positions.
There will be offensive and defensive sessions to give your camper exposure to positions on each side of the ball. Instruction will also be given in punting and kicking. Basic fundamentals will be the focus of this camp.
In addition to on the field training, the campers will be introduced to basic weight training techniques, introductory film study, team- and chemistry-building and other fun activities.
Overnight campers will need to provide their own bedding, pillow, toiletries, towel, alarm clock and fan.
June 30-July 1, 2011 9:00 a.m. to Noon
This camp is specially designed to introduce your young athlete to the game of football. The basics of football will be taught. This session will present the game of football in a fun and interesting way. The athletes will learn the basic concepts of the game through competitions and games. This is a great way to expose your child to the game of football and prepare them for a successful experience in the game.
Each camper must have their own medical insurance. The Lakeland College Fundamental Football Camp will not be responsible for any medical or dental insurance. A medical release statement must be signed by a parent or guardian before a camper is allowed to participate in the Lakeland College Fundamental Football Camp. Each camper's health and protection will be our first and foremost concern, however, as with all sports there are dangers inherent in participating. There will also be an athletic trainer present while the camp is in session.
