Biography:

Charles lettered four years in basketball and baseball, and was named all-conference three times in basketball. He was named athlete of the year in 1961-62 and 1964-65. He played in the NAIA tournament. In baseball, he was a pitcher and outfielder as well as a two-time team captain.
