Baseball Falls to St. Norbert; Second Game Cancelled

The Lakeland baseball team dropped its third straight game, 9-3, to St. Norbert on Sunday afternoon. The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.
Junior Brett Nelson extended his hitting streak to four games, going 2-for-4 with a run scored on Sunday. He is hitting .571 (8-for-14) during that stretch.
Newcomer Kris Saiberlich took the loss for the Muskies, giving up six runs—three earned—on five hits in four innings pitched in his first outing of the season.
St. Norbert's Dave Jilot got the win.
Lakeland is next in action on Wednesday when they host Finlandia at 1 p.m. There has been no announcement whether the second game against St. Norbert will be made up.
