Muskies End Season With Sweep Of Wisconsin Lutheran

The Lakeland baseball ended its 2006 season on Saturday with at two-game sweep of Wisconsin Lutheran College, 8-1 and 10-0.
The Muskies tallied 15 hits in game one and sophomore pitcher Nate Brusewitz picked up the win, allowing just four hits and one earned run with four strike outs.
Game two saw the Muskie bats stay hot, as they jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. Junior pitcher Zack Schmitz picked up the win, pitching six scoreless innings and striking out six.
Junior Mitch Heinemeyer broke Lakeland's single-season doubles record in game two, finishing the season with 20 doubles.
The Muskies end the season with a record of 15-23, 11-10 in conference.
