Renee Steinert scored her 1000th point as a Muskie as she helped Lakeland cruise to a 57-37 victory over the visiting Maranatha Baptist Crusaders.
Steinert needed 10 points heading into the game to reach the milestone, which she did with 8:45 remaining in the first half. She finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.
Beth Porter led all scorers with 17 points, and Sara Langenhorst poured in 14 for Lakeland.
Amber Lang scored 12 points for Maranatha.
The Muskies held the Crusaders to 15 percent shooting in the first half to jump out to a 44-10 lead at the break, but only shot 17 percent themselves in the second half.
Steinert became the seventh member of the 1000 point club at Lakeland.
The Muskies, now 11-6 on the season and 6-1 in conference, travel to River Forest, Illinois to face Dominican on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
