Renee Steinert finished with game-highs of 23 points and five assists and a team-high nine rebounds to help the Lakeland women’s basketball team crush Alverno, 64-35, on Saturday.
The Muskies took the lead right out of the gate and never looked back, cruising to a 35-12 halftime lead.
Lakeland’s defense put the clamps on Alverno, holding the Inferno to just 26.4 percent shooting from the floor.
The Muskies strengthened their hold on the conference lead, improving their record in the LMC to 7-1. They travel to Fond du Lac to face Marian on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
