Sara Langenhorst scored 21 points to lead the Lakeland women’s basketball team past Marian, 59-44, and into the championship game of the Lake Michigan Conference tournament.
Karli Nichols added 12 for the Muskies, who shot just 33 percent from the floor, but managed to hold the Sabres to 29 percent shooting.
Renee Steinert led Lakeland in rebounds with 12. As a team the Muskies out-rebounded Marian by dominating 51-31 margin.
Chelsea Borgrud had a team-high 15 points in the losing effort for the Sabres.
Lakeland trailed in the game and led by as many as 23 in the game.
The Muskies will now travel to Edgewood College, who beat Maranatha 63-56, on Saturday at 7 p.m. in a match-up between the number one and two seeds.
