Lakeland Sweeps Dominican

The Lakeland women's volleyball team clinched third place in the Northern Athletics Conference with a win over Dominican. The Muskies took down the Stars in three straight sets (30-21, 30-19, 30-20) on Tuesday in at the Moose and Dona Woltzen Gymnasium at Lakeland.
The Muskies' offense was solid as sophomore setter Jessica Sparling recorded 25 assists and freshman setter Hannah Ellis added 15 assists. Freshman middle hitter Jessica Keller also had an outstanding game with a .538 hitting percentage to lead the team with seven kills.
On defense, freshman libero Tonia Strebelinski had six digs, while freshman outside hitter Kaylyn Kasper had five digs against the Stars.
The Muskies (18-13, 8-3 NAC) will be in action again this weekend at the UW-River Falls Tournament, starting on Friday with UW-River Falls at 4 p.m. followed by Millikin at 6 p.m.
