Goosen Puts in Team-Best Performance at Season-Opening Meet

The men's golf team competed in their first meet of the season September 10 and 11 at the Marian College Invitational.

Junior Justin Goosen put in the top finish for the Muskies, shooting a 77 on day one and recording an 84 during a rainy day two. His efforts were good for seventh place overall with a total score of 161, just ten strokes off the leader.

Milwaukee School of Engineering took first place in the 10-team meet with a total two-day team score of 627.

The Muskies finished ninth overall with a total score of 704.

The next meet will be hosted by Edgewood in Madison, Wis., on September 17 and 18.
