Lakeland College junior Justin Goosen shot a 71 on Sunday in the men's golf Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational at the Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, October 1-2.
The Sheboygan native led individual standings going into the final round on Sunday, but double bogeyed the last hole to finish with an 81 on the day for a total of 152 and third overall. Scott Hood of Carthage College won the event with a 151.
As a team Lakeland finished 12th overall with a 680 at the two day event. Edgewood College won the invitational with a 337.
The Muskies are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Maple Meadows Golf Course in Wood Dale, Ill., to compete in the Benedictine Invitational.
