The Lakeland women's volleyball squad defeated their first two opponents of the year at the Ripon College tournament on Friday, September 1.

The Muskies stretched their first match of the season to the very end, but were able to take down Beloit three games to two with tight scores of 33-31, 29-31, 27-30, 32-30 and 16-14.

Next the team met with Eureka in another close match-up, but was able to come away with another victory, dropping only one game of the match for a 3-1 win (30-25, 30-26, 24-30, 30-16).

The Muskies will be back in action for two more matches at the Ripon Tournament Saturday, September 2 at 10am and 12pm.
