The Lakeland College men's volleyball team moved one step closer to claiming the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference title with a win over UW-Stevens Point, 3-0 (30-20, 30-15, 30-25), on Monday, Mar. 26, in Stevens Point, Wis. If the Muskies (27-5, 8-1 WVC) can defeat UW-Oshkosh (7-1 WVC) on Thursday, Lakeland will earn first place in the WVC outright.

Lakeland controlled Stevens Point from the beginning, with another strong offensive showing from senior outside hitter Matt Martin, who had a team-high seven kills, while also adding five digs, two blocks and one ace. Sophomore setter Matt Clemens also contributed to the offensive drive with 30 assists, while also tying Martin in digs with five and tallying four blocks. Senior middle hitter Adam Plach was also active with four kills, five blocks and two digs.

"Tonight was a good opportunity to work with different line-up combinations and get some playing time for our top reserves," said head coach Chad Schreiber.

The Muskies will play their last WVC regular-season match on Thursday, Mar. 29, against UW-Oshkosh to determine the conference champion. Match time is set for 8 p.m. in Oshkosh, Wis.
