Men's Soccer Defeated by Carthage
Athletics - posted on 10/21/2007
The Lakeland College men's soccer team fell to Carthage College, 5-2, in non-conference play on Sunday, Oct. 21, in Kenosha, Wis.
Although the Muskies (2-13 overall) found themselves tied with Carthage, 2-2, during the first half, thanks to goals by senior midfielder Zach Buchman at the 18:26 mark and freshman forward James Trazile in the 33rd minute, the Red Men were able to sneak in one more goal before halftime to gain the 3-2 advantage.
Lakeland was then unable to duplicate its success in the first half on offense, tallying just two second half shot attempts to Carthage's 10, resulting in two more goals for the Red Men to seal the win.
The Muskies will now return to Northern Athletics Conference play with Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Lakeland. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
