Lakeland Drops Match to Ripon

The Lakeland College women's tennis team played hard against Ripon College, though it was a loss, with a final score of 9-0.

In the singles competition, Saki Matsubara was tough competition to Ripon's Arielle Denis, though she lost her No. 1 match with scores of 6-2, 7-5. Chelsey Foster of Ripon won over Maria Tess in the No. 2 match with scores of 6-0, 6-3. In her No. 3 match, Erica Brown lost to Ripon's Brittany Sullivan with a score of 6-0 in both rounds. Kate Dricken of Ripon won the No. 4 match against Jacquelyn Love with a score of 6-0 in both rounds.

In the doubles competition, Saki Matsubara and Maria Tess played a close match against Ripon's Karla Wagener and Meagan Sykes in the No. 1 match, but lost with a score of 8-4. In the No. 2 match, Kris Jansen and Megan Petri of Ripon won against Jacquelyn Love and Erica Brown with a score of 8-0.
