Women's Tennis Falls to MSOE

The Lakeland College women's tennis team played its hardest against Milwaukee School of Engineering, yet it was a rough loss with a 6-0 result. 

In the singles competition, Sakie Matsubara was defeated in her No. 1 match by Milwaukee School of Engineering's Joy Cirilli in the first round 6-1, but she fought back and just barely lost the round (6-4).  Sophie Janto of Milwaukee beat Rae Schreiber with scores of 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 2 match.  Mariah Tess was up against Elizabeth Keyes in the No. 3 match, and Jacquelyn Love played against Ashley Blise in the No. 4 match, and both lost the matches with scores of 6-0.

In the doubles competition, Rae Schreiber and Sakie Matsubara's competitors in their No. 1 match were Milwaukee School of Engineering's Joy Cirilli and Sophie Janto, and the girls suffered a tough loss with a score of 8-0.  Jacquelyn Love and Mariah Tess played in the No. 2 match against Milwaukee's Ashley Blise and Elizabeth Keyes, and experienced the same defeat, also scoring 8-0 in the round.
