Lakeland Falls to Benedictine

The Lakeland College women's tennis team played against Benedictine University and was defeated, with a result of 8-1.

In the singles competition, Sakie Matsubara lost her No. 1 match against Benedictine's Yvonne Duang, with scores of 6-0, 6-1.  In the No. 2 match, Ewelina Stachulek of Benedictine defeated Mariah Tess, with scores of 6-0, 6-2.  In the No. 3 match, Erika Brown fell to Benedictine's Jessica Armour, with scores of 6-0 in both rounds.  In the No. 4 match, Andrea Olivia of Benedictine won against Jacquelyn Love, with scores of 6-0 in both rounds.  In the No. 5 match, Benedictine's Michelle Ames won by forfeit.  In the No. 6 match, Evangelina Gallegos also won by means of a forfeit.

In the doubles competition, Mariah Tess and Sakie Matsubara lost their No. 1 match against Benedictine's Yvonne Duang and Ewelina Stachulek, with a score of 8-2.  In the No. 2 match, Evangelina Gallegos and Andrea Olivia of Benedictine defeated Jacquelyn Love and Erika Brown, with a score of 8-0.  Benedictine's Jessica Armour and Michelle Ames won their No. 3 match by forfeit.
