Commons Takes First at Marian Invite

Sophomore Nikki Commons claimed first place with a score of 94 as the only golfer from Lakeland College to compete at the Marian College Invite on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Fond du Lac, Wis.

Commons' combined scores of 48 and 46 were low enough to put her above her closest competition, Milwaukee School of Engineering's Kim Pappenfuss, by three strokes.

The Muskies' women's golf team's next meet is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6, at Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Ill.
