Muskies defeat closest conference rival, Wisconsin Lutheran

The Lakeland College Muskies traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday night for a showdown between the Lake Michigan Conference�s two top teams. In the end, the Muskies would come out victorious, winning 3-1.

Leading the way for the Muskies was Lana Neuman who had 58 assists, 13 digs, and one ace. Danielle Duranceau added 15 kills, one ace, and three blocks. Resi Ertler added nine kills, 24 digs, and one ace.

�This was one we had to claw out. We had individuals break down tonight that led to point runs for Wisconsin Lutheran. It was nice to see a team effort pick up the defense to make up for poor play in other areas. Special mention has to go to Danielle for leading us offensively filling in for Heather who normally has that role for us� said Coach Schreiber.

The Muskies will next travel to Wheaton College for a triangular. Game times are set for 12:30 vs. Augustana and 2:30 vs. Wheaton.
