The
Lakeland Muskies volleyball team traveled to Alverno on Tuesday night looking
for a fourth straight conference title. Needing a win against Alverno to
capture the outright LMC regular season championship,
The Muskies hit .318% as a team and played all 16 players in this pivotal match
against the Inferno, and dominated the whole way. The Muskies now look forward
to the fact that the LMC champion will have to come through
"We achieved two of our big goals tonight," said Coach Schreiber,
"win the conference and host the tournament. I am happy for the seniors to
have won a conference title each of their four years."
Key performers for the Muskies included Lana Neuman who tallied 38 assists,
nine digs and two aces. Heather Heberlein added 14 kills and two blocks while
Leeann Hupfer racked up seven kills and three blocks in the effort.
