The Lakeland Muskies volleyball team traveled to Alverno on Tuesday night looking for a fourth straight conference title. Needing a win against Alverno to capture the outright LMC regular season championship, Lakeland got their work done, defeating Alverno in three games, 30-18, 30-11, 30-20.

The Muskies hit .318% as a team and played all 16 players in this pivotal match against the Inferno, and dominated the whole way. The Muskies now look forward to the fact that the LMC champion will have to come through
Lakeland, as the Muskies will host all of their tournament games.

"We achieved two of our big goals tonight," said Coach Schreiber, "win the conference and host the tournament. I am happy for the seniors to have won a conference title each of their four years."

Key performers for the Muskies included Lana Neuman who tallied 38 assists, nine digs and two aces. Heather Heberlein added 14 kills and two blocks while Leeann Hupfer racked up seven kills and three blocks in the effort.

The Muskies will next travel to
LaVerne, CA for matches on Friday and Saturday October 22nd and 23rd.
