Muskies down Benedictine to remain undefeated in league play

The Lakeland women's volleyball team continued its league dominance as they defeated Benedictine(11-12 overall, 5-3 NAC) 3-1 Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Conference play in Lisle, Ill.
The Muskies (15-5, 8-0) took a two set lead, winning 25-16 and 25-21. After dropping the third set 21-25, Lakeland finished off the Eagles taking the fourth 25-13.
Three Muskies recorded double digit kills on the day. Sophomore outside hitter Andrea Mueller (Manitowoc) lead the team with 11 kills and a .379 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Brittanie Paulus (Belgium) also tallied 11 kills and lead Lakeland with 18 digs while junior middle hitter Kim Linger (Eldorado) added 10 kills to round out the Muskie attack.
The victory leaves Lakeland unbeaten in their last seven matches. In that stretch, the Muskies have lost three of 24 sets.
Lakeland returns to conference play Wednesday as they travel to Milwaukee to face Alverno.
