Lakeland freshman Jake Schwarz has received Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week honors in men's basketball for the week of Dec. 8-14, the league announced Monday.
The 6-5, 210-pound forward registered a career-high 37 points and led the team with nine rebounds in a 84-79 Lakeland victory over Concordia Chicago last Saturday.
The Sheboygan native, who played a season-high 35 minutes, helped the Muskies erase a 13-point second-half deficit. Schwarz's free throws with 3:28 left in the game put the Muskies ahead for good at 74-73.
Each week, the league's head coaches nominate a player from their own team to be voted on for each sport by NAC sports information directors.
