MILWAUKEE - The Lakeland women's volleyball team remained undefeated in Northern Athletics Conference play with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-22 victory over MSOE on Friday night at the Kern Center.
The highlight of the match came when the Muskies (12-4 overall, 4-0 NAC) won five straight points down 22-20 in the second set, regaining a bit of momentum in the match going into the final set.
Lakeland recovered from deficits of 5-0 and 12-8 in the third frame to escape with the win in straight sets.
"We have yet to control the momentum in a match," Lakeland coach Chad Schreiber said. "Some part of our offense always seems to be broken, whether it's setting, shot selection or swinging."
The Muskies had four players with at least nine kills in the match, with senior Kaylyn Kasper (Hilbert, Wis.) leading the way with 10.
Senior Brittanie Paulus (Belgium, Wis.) recorded a team-high 17 digs as well as nine kills. Junior setter Kristine Raeder (Oostburg, Wis.) collected 35 assists and 15 digs.
The Muskies held the Raiders (1-20, 0-5) to a .034 team hitting percentage.
Lakeland returns to action tomorrow with a home match against Rockford at 1 p.m.
