Women's golf selected seventh in NAC coaching poll

The Lakeland women's golf team has been picked to finish seventh in the Northern Athletics Conference this season by the conference's coaches, as the conference released the 2009 NAC women's golf preseason coaches' poll.

The Muskies received 23 points as Aurora and Edgewood tied for first place in voting with 58 points each. Last season Lakeland junior Nikki Commons took home a runner-up finish at the 2008 NAC Women's Golf Championship with a two-round score of 177, moving up the leader board with an 86 in the second round after a first round 91.

The Muskies open their 2009 season September 19-20 at the Benedictine University Fall Invitational.
