Lakeland senior Nikki Commons received a spot on the 2009 All-Northern Athletics Conference team following her performance at the 2009 NAC Women's Golf Championships earlier this week.

Commons, a Bonduel, Wis., native, is the only women's golf player in league history to be selected to the all-conference team four times in her career. She was also the only senior on the All-NAC squad.

In her four-year career, Commons never finished outside of the top five at the conference tournament.

Earlier this week, she finished tied for fifth at Glen Erin GC in Janesville, Wis., carding a two-day total of 185 (91-94) to lead the Muskies to a sixth-place finish.

During the season, Commons never finished outside of the top 10, and placed in the top five twice. She averaged 91.2 strokes per 18-hole round, shooting a season-low 86 in the second round of the Benedictine Invitational on Sept. 19-20.
