Muskies lose first game in Minnesota
Athletics - posted on 9/4/2010
The Lakeland women's soccer team lost is second straight game to Martin Luther 9-0 in New Ulm, Minn., this afternoon.
The Muskies were marred by injuries and only played with 10 players as junior midfielder Ashley Meyer (Hinckley, Ill.) and freshman defender Monica Santelli (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) watched from the sidelines.
"With low numbers and injured players it's hard to be competitive with our opponents. The girls gave a good effort and battled well," said head coach Tony Pierce.
Lakeland continues play tomorrow against St. Mary's University at 4:30p.m. in Minnesota.
