The Lakeland women's soccer team fell, 13-1 to the Stars of Dominican University in Northern Athletics Conference play Saturday afternoon in River Forest, Ill.
The Stars knocked the ball around well and proved their dominance in the NAC.
Junior forward Lindsay Rogers (Sheboygan, Wis) scored for Lakeland to keep a shut out from Dominican in the last 10 minutes of the game.
"Dominican is a good team," said head coach Tony Pierce. "The girls battled and never gave up."
Lakeland returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 29 in a non-conference game against Ripon College. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
