Rogers scores in final seconds for NAC win

MILWAUKEE, Wis.--The Lakeland College women's soccer team beat Wisconsin Lutheran College, 1-0 in double overtime in Northern Athletics Conference action Saturday afternoon.
Junior forward Lindsay Rogers (Sheboygan, Wis.) had the game winning goal when she scored in the last nine seconds of the second overtime to give the Muskies a win. Junior midfielder Kristina Borts (Milwaukee, Wis.) had the assist.
Head coach Tony Pierce was pleased with the team's play and determination.
"The girls played great," said Pierce. "It was an intense game and a great win for us. The girls kept plugging away and finally came up with a result."
The Muskies return to NAC action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 against MSOE at Muskie Field. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
