The Lakeland men's soccer team lost 6-0 in a non-conference game against North Park University Thursday night in Chicago, Ill.
The Muskies found themselves down 4-0 after a slow and sluggish start to the first half.
Head coach Tony Pierce was disappointed with the team's effort in the first half, despite playing a better second half.
"North Park was able to finish four times in the first half," said Pierce. "We never quite recovered after our slow start. The guys played a better second half and battled hard."
The Muskies fall to 0-4-1 and return to Northern Athletics Conference play Sunday, Sept. 19 against Concordia University-Chicago.
"Competing against North Park gave us the opportunity to preview the turf we'll face against Concordia-Chicago Sunday," said Pierce. "Hopefully the guys will be more prepared."
