Muskies drop non-conference game to St. Norbert

The Lakeland men's soccer team lost, 6-0 to the Green Knights of St. Norbert College in a non-conference game Monday afternoon at Muskie Field.

The Muskies (0-5-2) found themselves down 5-0 at half after an aggressive start from St. Norbert.

Head coach Tony Pierce thought the team felt good coming in today's game after battling for 110 minutes against Northern Athletics Conference foe Concordia University- Chicago last night.

"We felt good going into today's game but we knew St. Norbert was going to come at us," said Pierce. "They jumped on us right away and forced our defense to make mistakes which they were able to capitalize on. We got out worked in the first half and regrouped at halftime to play a better second half. We'll learn from our mistakes and rebuild."

Lakeland returns to action Thursday, Sept. 23 in a non-conference game against Beloit College in Beloit, Wis. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
