Muskies move to 3-0 with home wins

The Lakeland men's volleyball team won a pair of matches Sunday as host of the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Playdate at the Wehr Center Field House.
The Muskies (3-0 overall, 3-0 WVC) knocked off UW-Platteville (25-13, 25-16, 25-10) and UW-Stout (25-18, 25-16, 25-15) in straight sets.
Lakeland, which finished tied for third in the nation last year after reaching the semifinals of the NCCS National Championships, has yet to lose a set this season.
Against Platteville, senior right side hitter Dan Judkins (Kaukauna, Wis.) led the Muskie offense with six kills. Junior middle hitter Beau Bradshaw (Oak Lawn, Ill.) tallied five kills and four blocks, while junior setter Chris Kubacki (Vernon Hills, Ill.) finished with 25 assists and four blocks.
Defensively, Lakeland was led by sophomore libero Andrew Cheever (Milwaukee, Wis.), who had nine digs.
In the Stout match, Judkins registered 11 kills, while senior outside hitter Perry Ringfelt (Elwood, Ill.) recorded seven kills and a .429 hitting percentage. Kubacki posted 34 assists, while Bradshaw had eight blocks.
Freshman Brandon Robinson (Burlington, Wis.) led the back row with 11 digs.
The Muskies return to action this Thursday at UW-Oshkosh, which finished as the national runner-up last season. Match time is slated for 8 p.m. in Oshkosh, Wis.
