Grapplers fall in dual to No. 2 UW-La Crosse

The Lakeland College wrestling team suffered a 55-0 loss to the No. 2 ranked University of Wisconsin- La Crosse Friday night at Mitchell Hall in La Crosse, Wis.

The Muskies faced stiff competition against the No. 2 NCAA Division III ranked Eagles, as six of the wrestlers are ranked in the top 10 in the country. UW-La Crosse now leads the two school's all-time meetings at 2-0.

Junior Robby Frias (Oak Lawn, Ill.) had an impressive showing against Andrew Dahl at the 141 weight class and had the closet match of the night.

Facing the Eagles just one week before the Northern Wrestling Association Tournament gave Lakeland an opportunity to better prepare itself. The Muskies now head into the conference tournament on Saturday, Feb. 19 in Mequon, Wis., followed by hosting the National Collegiate Athletics Association Great Lakes Regional on Feb. 26 at the Todd Wehr Center.
