Muskies lose Hoosier-Illini Challange game

The Lakeland College men's volleyball team suffered its third loss of the day in the Hoosier-Illini Challenge game, a 2-0 (25-22, 25-20) setback to Texas A&M.

The Muskies (10-9) used several line-ups to get players some playing time and just couldn't pull out the victory.

"In the grand scheme of things this match wasn't going to impact our seeding for the tournament so we used it as an opportunity to get some guys playing time," said Lakeland head coach Chad Schreiber. "While some good things came out of this, the line-up just didn't have the experience to pull this one out."

Lakeland, who is an honorable mention in the Feb. 4, National Collegiate Volleyball Federation poll, was led offensively by freshman Brett Kaczmarek (Kenosha, Wis.) and sophomore Josh Tucek (Elmwood, Ill.) who had four kills each.

The Muskies return to action Wednesday, March 2, as they travel to Whitewater, Wis. to face WVC foe UW-Whitewater. The match is set for 8 p.m.
