The Lakeland College men's volleyball team put together another impressive win in the Midwest 10 Championships Saturday, a 2-1 (19-25, 25-21, 15-12) victory over UW-Milwaukee.
The Muskies (12-11) put together a great team effort and impressed Lakeland head coach Chad Schreiber.
"This might be our best win of the year as UW-Milwaukee is having a great season," said Schreiber. "It seemed like many guys wanted to step up in this one and that made the difference."
Three players, junior Jared Sparrey (Oak Forest, Ill.), sophomore Dane Maier (Middleton, Wis.), and freshman Brett Kaczmarek (Kenosha, Wis.), led Lakeland on offense with seven blocks each.
On defense, Sparrey led the Muskies with six blocks, while freshman Ralph Kokoszka (Palos Heights, Ill.) added five blocks.
The Muskies return to action Friday, March 11, as they play their postponed match against WVC foe UW-La Crosse. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
