Lakeland settles for draw against Edgewood

After 110 minutes of play, the Lakeland College men's soccer team and the Edgewood College men's soccer team couldn't capitalize in a scoreless Northern Athletics Conference tie Tuesday evening.

The Muskies (3-2-3, 1-0-2 NAC) were led by their goal-saving defense behind junior goalkeeper Alex Piekarski (Menasha). Piekarski recorded eight saves for the game and registered his third shutout of the season.

The Eagles and the Muskies each had prime opportunities to score in overtime, however both defenses wouldn't break. Lakeland outshot Edgewood 20-17.

Lakeland returns to NAC action as they host Concordia University Chicago on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m.
