The Lakeland College baseball team snapped it's six-game winning streak with a 20-0 non-conference loss at 20th-ranked Carthage College.
The Muskies (14-19) fell behind early and couldn't recover after the Red Men scored 10 runs on 11 hits in the first inning.
Freshman right-hander Derek Loomans (L, 1-1) (Waupun, Wis.) got his second start of the season and just his fifth appearance and was just over-matched by the Red Men.
At the plate the Muskies offense was quieted as they mustered just five hits, with Mike Ruzek (Manitowoc, Wis.) leading all hitters going 3-3.
The Muskies will finish the 2011 season on Saturday, May 7, as they host Edgewood College on senior day. First pitch is set for noon.
