Muskies suffer setback against Eagles

The Lakeland College women's volleyball team lost their third Northern Athletics Conference match to visiting Benedictine University on Saturday afternoon.

The Muskies (5-15, 2-3 NAC) lost in three sets, 3-0 (19-25, 20-25, 20-25).

Sophomore outside hitter Anna Faust (Cross Plains, Wis.) led the Muskies with 10 kills and eight digs.

"We are an inconsistent team right now," said Lakeland head coach Jon Staabs. "We played excellent last night, but today we were sloppy. We didn't pass well, our setting was bad, and we just couldn't get into any rhythm on offense."

The Muskies return to Northern Athletics Conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 4 when they host Maranatha Baptist Bible College at 7 p.m.
